The Powell River Public Library invites kids to join the 2020 Mission Remote BC Summer Reading Club: Explore Our Universe! This year, it is as a FREE pick-up-and-go package jam packed with seven weeks of out-of-this-world fun designed to engage school-aged children, ages 5-14, with libraries, reading, and STEAM activities throughout the summer! On Wednesdays at 9am, you can tune into their YouTube Channel for a Disney themed 30-minute class. Here is the link to last week´s class. Here is the link for Wednesday, May 20th. They do fantastic work in Victoria and Vancouver, by having chefs go into classrooms and help students learn more about growing, cooking, and eating healthy food! With the current situation, they have switched to online learning, here are the first three lessons: Do you have toilet paper rolls headed for the recycle?
